OUR STORY

About The Motorised Gate Company – TMGC can offer 40 years of experience and knowledge in the automatic gate industry and is an innovator in designing and manufacturing our very own products.

Dedicated in creating automatic gate solutions for those who face the dilemma of never having the luxury of securing their property.

Milestones

Prior to 2011

Working as a sub-contractor, specialising in gate and garage door automation and servicing.

2011

With constant requests from our clients for new gates, we decided to take this challenge on. We started afresh with a new name, The Motorised Gate Company.
A name that makes a statement in what we do. Our journey to where we are today has now begun.

2012

Design and develop our own CS-100 Heavy Duty Commercial Swing Gate Operator. Initially designed and produced for the Werribee Open Range Zoo entrance gates. With their seasonal strong winds, they needed a powerful gate motor that could provide reliability and durability, where other motors couldn’t. The TMGC CS-100 was born and is still used on all our large commercial and industrial bi-fold/swing gates.

2014

Early 2014, a customer engaged us to find a security solution for his townhouse driveway in Windsor. Swing and sliding gates were not options, due to the very limited space and so we set out to design and develop our very first trackless bi-fold automatic security gate. Our focus in developing and refining our product has resulted in the most innovative and versatile space saving automatic gate available. Since then, we have been providing solutions to the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors of Melbourne. Giving security to those who never could before.

2021

Up until January 2021, we had been installing all types of automatic gates but as from this year, we now concentrate only on bi-folds. We do still supply swing, sliding and pedestrian gates but only when ordered with a bi-fold package. The time has come to share our unique product with all, taking on gate and garage door Agents and Trade customers Australia wide.

Today

Homeowners, Business Owners, Architects, Builders, Construction and Landscape Companies are making the most of this space saving solution, not only providing solutions, but allowing them the option to design properties with more usable space in their new builds and renovation projects.

Our entire process from design to fabrication and setup, is operated in-house at our Hallam Bi Fold Gate and Door factory – South East Melbourne, Victoria. All products come with full warranty and after sale service. From start to finish – quoting, design, fabrication and servicing, are all carried out by our own trained staff.

We were lucky enough to have found the TMGC through pinterest. After consulting with over 10 other fence suppliers, none were able to come up with a solution for our sloped driveway (besides a huge slide gate costing space and money).
